Regulatory Assistance


ERISA (the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974) is a Federal law which deals with employee benefit plans and applies to virtually all private-sector corporations, partnerships, and proprietorships, including non-profit corporations—regardless of their size or number of employees.

ERISA prescribes when and how reporting (to the DOL) and disclosure (to Plan Participants) must be delivered. Failure to comply with ERISA can result in enforcement actions, penalties, and/or employee lawsuits.
